about me !!

ermmmm hello! my name is jess and i'm a 20 year old transmasc artist! i really like nintendo and making my own stories! i currently am working on a giant story about my splatoon ocs! it's a huge passion project and there aren't many fans of it, but i still work on it pretty much every day because it makes me happy! i'm also a big pokemon fan, but for a while my interest in the franchise has been shelved in favor of oc brainworms... i'm into a lot of different stuff, actually. recently been very big on xenoblade chronicles (thanks to my partner). i also really like pikmin and though i'm not well versed in it, zelda too!

oh, you poor soul. welcome to the horrible deep dark hole of my oc madness. below is a giant collection of oc bios and general story description. it's unfinished as of now, so not all characters are present.

welcome to the world of primary! this is a splatoon-based story (with some creative liberties taken) that follows the life of august harper, an octoling living on the surface after running away from home. his search to find a community, friends, and well- himself, brings him down many different adventure paths. follow him and his friends through each adventure as they all grow into their early adulthood together.there is currently only two chapters of primary officially released; however, a "cliffnotes edition" of the main story exists if you want to see the biggest arcs summarized, as well as see some related concept artwork.

characters

august harper is the protagonist of the story. after running away from a shaky home life, august finds himself on the surface with inkling society. he's a big nerd for history, gaming, and music, but also has other hobbies to keep him occupied. he's been academically trained in splatling usage, so he's no joke in battle.

wren iniguez met august during her first turf war match, learning from him and kickstarting her career in battling. she's got a big heart, being a compassionate soul, but also a huge hopeless romantic. she writes in her spare time, though she doesn't like to admit it. she's not afraid to stand up for her friends, even if she has to knock some sense into them with her splattershot.

ciel collymore is rather eccentric at times, but her lovely sense of fashion and exceedingly friendly demeanor makes her quite popular. unable to remember anything before age 16, she gets attached to people quite quickly. her combat skills are seriously astounding though; you don't want to get on her bad side.

roob cousteau is a relaxed member of the crew. she's got a knack for jokes, and isn't afraid to bend the rules. after being kicked out of her home, her and her brother stick together through anything that comes their way. she may seem mean at first glance, but she isn't that indimidating, being the shortest of the cast.

arlo cousteau, roob's older brother, is a bit of a workaholic. he's not free often, but when he is, he's tearing it up at the ddr cabinets at the arcade or hanging out with the group. he's headstrong, taking initiative when others won't, and probably won't back down from a fight either.

z (short for zephyr) finch is a rather mysterious person. being ciel's oldest friend and mentor figure, z stops at no cost to make sure their friends are doing okay. they've got more problems to deal with than it may seem, though. their extreme strength in combat can't solve everything.

all of these characters and more await you in the story of primary! as more work on the story is completed, chapters will get released online. there's many more things to discover than what's been mentioned here, even after reading the cliffnotes edition, so please, don't hesitate to reach out to me on social medias to ask about the world! i promise i don't bite. i only infodump.
